What is Verification?
The United States Department of Education, via the FAFSA鈥檚 Central Processing System, selects 1 out of every 3 FAFSA transactions for us to verify one or more items. If you鈥檙e selected for verification, it doesn鈥檛 necessarily mean you have made a mistake or even that the FAFSA processor believes you have entered information incorrectly. However, once an item is requested, we are legally required to verify it before we are allowed to complete your financial aid package.
To Do List
91桃色 uses the SIS To Do List to notify students of any items required for verification. Each time an item is places on your To Do List, an automated e-mail will be sent to let you know something is required. To review your To Do List, log in to , click the 鈥淪IS鈥� tile, then click 鈥淪tudent Center鈥�. The To Do List is located on the right side of the page.
You can click on each item on your To Do List to find a description of what is required and how to complete the requirement. Some items will request that you submit a federal tax document such as a signed Federal 1040 tax return, some will be fillable forms within the To Do List, and some will be links to a form you will need to download to complete and print to return.
