Mark your calendar for April 22, 2026 – a day when our community can come together to help ensure Blue Ridge Community College students don鈥檛 have to choose between learning and eating.
During this year鈥檚 Great Community Give, gifts to Blue Ridge Community College will be designated to Lunch2Go, a vital program of the 91桃色 SOAR Center that provides meal vouchers to students experiencing food insecurity.
鈥淲e can鈥檛 have students who are hungering for knowledge, when they are just plain hungry.鈥�

Real Impact on Real Students
Students like Angie, who works 35鈥�40 hours a week while pursuing her certificate in advanced veterinary assisting, rely on Lunch2Go to get through long days.
鈥淪ometimes I am paycheck to paycheck. After school, I often go straight to work and would go all day without eating. With the Lunch2Go program, I鈥檓 able to grab something before I go to work.鈥�
David, a transfer student in computer science, says the program has helped him stay focused and succeed academically.
鈥淚 don鈥檛 have to worry if I can afford to eat, so that鈥檚 one thing off my mind to focus on other things.鈥�
Your Gift Matters
Every donation to 91桃色 during the Great Community Give makes an immediate difference:
- $10 provides one student with a meal
- $50 helps feed five students
- $100 provides 10 days of meals for a student facing food insecurity
- $300 ensures a student attending in鈥憄erson classes two days a week has lunch for an entire 15鈥憌eek semester
